Is Michael Jackson touring before the end of the year?

Yes Michael will be touring this year (2008), his tour will be at the 02 arena for 32 shows and his shows will start in september.

Oh i wish you are right.... but I've heard it too many times to believe any claim. Until Michael releases a statement, my opinion is that he will not tour.

I doubt Michael Jackson will tour... for a few reasons:

1) He has stated that touring is very stressful and he does not like to tour.

2) Usually the record label pressures the artist to tour for album promotion and MJ has NO RECORD LABEL which means MJ has no pressure coming at him to tour.

3) In Ebony he INDICATED that he has no plans to tour and would rather sit back and "enjoy" his success rather then work at an old age.(aka..no motivation to tour)

4) His "new album" has yet to have an actual release date and has no official name, information, song titles, etc meaning that there will be no tour anytime soon.

5) MJ has had various offers for Thriller themed concerts, and has so far not responded.

6) MJ has had a huge Jackson-5 tour proposal and showed no interest.

Based on this, it appears Michael is not interested in working much at this time and thus; no tour. Oh well, I just hope I will be able to see him live one day.

You nailed it!

6 very good reasons why I don't think we'll see him tour anytime soon.

No MAJOR tour.. He will do a set of performances in a few key locations.

1) Michael does not like to tour
2) He has children at the age that need him most
3) From what we know he's shopped around for a 'set' of performances in places. Meaning more than one in these places that he's checked out.

02 arena is NOT confirmed I don't care what anyone says. I personally recieved an email (which some will remember) that things are in the air, and are being talk over, Michael is shopping around and o2 arena is one of the places he is INTERESTED in..

If Michael does do any type of touring he VERY most likely WILL have a record label.. Putting on a set of shows, and/or tour costs SO MUCH money. Michael without a label right now most likely is paying for the recording his new album with his own money, from his own pocket. Usually a record label pays for that.. It costs millions to create a MIcHAEL JACksON album.

I really believe Michael will be doing his new album and projects with SONY.. They have a new team of leaders since his issues with them.

Knowing Michael, he'll want things (projects) to have HUGE productions, which costs too much money for ONE individual to pay for it all..

I think he is perpously not signing with anyone at this time, so he will have 100% control over his album. What he says goes, what tracks make it goes.. HE CHOSES 100%. Then once the album is complete he will either shop for a record label, or THEN go forth with Sony..

And this is when they will SET (confirm) the performances, with the labels money.. Michael is getting ideas, drawing his 'comeback' up in his master plan, THEN present it to SONY, and say this is what I want to do.. Either assist me, or I'll go else where.

also i can tell you that tickets for the floor section will cost between £100-£450 and will be availabe in 4 diffrent levels, when they go on sale which shouldn not be too long now, trust me! and as i mentioned the shows will start at the 02 arena in september.

It would be amazing if michael did tour at the end of the year but I really doubt it. I think first he has to release his album before anything and then he might decide to do performances here and there...I honestly dunno but whatever michael decides to do I'll be happy.

He will NEVER do a major tour again..

PERFORM?? YES of course.. He wont perform himself into the grave like James Brown (R.I.P) but he loves it WAY too much to stay away..

He will perform his new album.. He's just being very careful with his next performance, because it could be his most important performance ever.

Exactly. You speak the truth. I think that Michael will do the same thing he did with MSG 30. I think he will start with a concert somewheres in the US that will be televised so that the masses can see him. As much as I want to see him tour the us, I would not be surprised if he did not. But I do believe he will tour the UK. Or at least show up there for a few nights are a small residency.

i'm not sure about a new album this year but the tour is 100%. he doesn't have to release an album to tour in my opinion, this is the Thriller albums anniversary year so it could be a greatest hits kinda tour.

also michael's Bad album was released on 31 august 1987 and michael launched the Bad tour twelve days later on the 12th september 1987 in japan, so its not impossible according to time resrictions.

Well he hates to tour just go look on some old interviews and you will hear it out of his own mouth. That being said i just wonder if he will cause he will need to support his new album and what better way is there than touring. Although i don,t think num are as important to michael as they oncw were i still think he may have to tour. But of course when it comes to our michael one never knows. some things will have to be done first such as him releasing his album.

Well if he does tour the US, it certainly won't be in the first have of this year. I personally think that Michael is saving his touring for his new album.

I doubt he'll tour, we all know how much he LOVES it...

If he did though, I'd sell my soul for a concert ticket and a plane ticket cause lord knows I'm far far away from anywhere he'll go.

Just because he hates to tour don't mean FOR SURE that he won't do a full fledged tour. Some ppl hate doing a lot of thing but they do it anyway for certain reasons. EXample: I hate exercising but I go to the gym anyway cuz I want to be fit/healthy/have a certain body. So you can't rule anything thing out.

I don't know what he is gonna do. You never know how someone is feeling or if they have a change of heart. but... I do think definitely that nothing far as a tour or mini tour will happen until after the new album even if it's twelve day later. lol

Anywho...I'm just gonna wait and see and be prepared (financially) just in case.

first off that was a piss-take, and second i'm not going to buy from dodgy third-party sites, obviously.

unless this is officially mentioned, we have absolutely no reason to trust anyone at the moment without any substantial sources.

so what now Mike is following in Prince's footsteps?- give me a break

-although the idea to be at the 02 arena aint half bad- i must say though- if he snubs the US - his fans here will prolly protest big time!

i agree that nobody should buy tickets from dodgy ticketa gencies and only purchase from official agents or venue box office when the info is officially announced. i wish the prices were not that high.

I cant imagine Michael ever agreeing that sort of price for tickets. Thats daylight robbery and totally alienates a lot of his younger fans, along with many of the skint ones!!!!

I dont believe that a full on tour is on the cards, but certainly various shows here and there seem doable to me.

^ yeah i agreee with you i mean after all MJ did say he hates touring but he loves to perform

You can't say "never" because you don't actually know this. But you do make informed predictions and assumptions based on hints that he has given in the past. But there is no guaruntee is all I'm saying--so you cannot make an official declaration on this forum that "He will NEVER do a major tour again"--unless you are a fortune teller/psychic, in which case I stand corrected.

"Old age" my butt! Do you know how many huge entertainers are still touring at like 60 +?! Now, I'm not saying Mike should go on for that long touring--in fact I wouldn't recommend it--but dang, go out with a bang! Don't just fizzle out! I wish he could just do ONE MORE--whatever size big or small--by himself or with his brothers and Janet..

I don't care if he does a major tour again--I just want to go to a show period.

And I don't care where he performs--I would fly accross the planet to see him once more.

why do you keep saying trust you?
and do have a valid source or reason for why we should trust you?
Give me a reason to trust you - becuase I dont know you from Adam :)

i hate going to work everyday but i still go. he might tour. none of us know. no use arguing. we have opinions or preferences but people who claim they KNOW anything for sure are just doing a bad job of lying.

not too sure if the O2 gigs will take place MJ hasnt said anything about them.
