ALERT ALERT MJ Neverland News [check post #1 for updates]

Sorry that I did not read details, I'm a LITTLE shocked, but do we know who it was sold to? Any indications of what will be done with the property etc?

Re: ALERT ALERT MJ Neverland News

Hmm...I think its friggin bogus that fans who think this is sad is being talked down upon. A wrong was done to MJ and if that wrong wasn't done, none of this would be in discussion right now. If INJUSTICE wasn't done, this would be a non-issue. I think it's bogus that people feel it's silly to find something a LITTLE wrong with that, despite how MJ "MAY" be happy now (who the hell knows how how he's feeling really), despite how MJ SEEMS to have moved on or whatever, despite those who for some odd reason despise or detest the "heal the world side" of MJ and want it gone.

People can say on this board that MJ can't sing anymore, that MJ is too old to do this and that, and no one says a dang thing. But when something like this raises negative concerns, oh, then those being so called "negative" are in the wrong. Are u kidding me?

Whatever. MJ let it go, I'll let it go, and yep, I'm gonna pretend everything about that is fine and dandy. Happy days.

I really DO hope that MJ really IS happy with this, and I really DO hope that the axing of Neverland doesn't represent the axing of some of the ideals he held close to him.

I feel you J5, and I agree with you. People should be more understanding of why this might be upsetting to some. I totally accept and respect Michael's decisian, but like you said, it's WHY this happened that upsets me. If he hadn't been attacked and abused there like he has been, then he never would have sold it, at least, not like this. He wouldn't feel negatively towards it like he does now I assume. I think Michael probably is content with the decisian and hasn't lost his ideals which were represented by Neverland, but it's just the injustice of it all that's upsetting.

I realy feel bad about this..........Neverland is MJ and MJ is Neverland

at least i hope we'll get a statement about this....from michael himself

Change is good and moving on is never a bad thing.

You are right about that.

I doubt NL is Michael but it is a part of him. NL, at the end of the day is just property.

I checked Access Hollywood.com and they didn't break, tmz.com did not break and People.com haven't broke the news yet. Notice I said, "yet".

I hope he does NOT make a statement.. Only for ONE reason.. It adds fuel to the Rumor that Mike is broke.. You know as soon as the media gets a hold of this, it will be mentioned.. NOW if he made a statement, it would add MORE to be used against him..

The media would twist it

But if it were SOMEHOW magically given and ONLY to fans, lol! than YES!

Very sad news. I'm quite upset actually, NOT because MJ sold it, But the way this ended. He was forced to sell it, and his one and only private world was destroyed by greedy people.

The fact that other people will have it even makes me more upset, It's MJ's place, he built it and made it the magical place that is.

I just hope that his private belongings doesen't include in the sale.

I just hope that he is happy now with his family and focus on the future.
And like others here have been saying, maybe a new door will open as this one closes???

Wish you the best Michael :)

It's totally understandable why this would be upsetting to some.

Here is a support thread to vent emotions about this (just be respectful and supportive, not attack).

f*ck the media. who cares what bs they will come up with ? they always say that hes broke and this and that and all kinds of crap. i'd be great if michael released a statement for us (the fans) and let us know his feelings about the whole situation.

TMZ says: Sycamore is a joint venture between Michael Jackson and a division of a company called Colony Capital.
so I guess he still owns in a way?

The idiots at tmz.com have the story:

http://www.tmz.com/

The tile is blah but they are saying these things that were already mentioned on here:

Sycamore is a joint venture between Michael Jackson and a division of a company called Colony Capital. Colony Capital owns the Las Vegas Hilton, the Red Rock Country Club, and other Las Vegas properties

The man behind Colony Capital, Thomas Barrack, Jr. is a Vegas mover and shaker, and there's a buzz in Vegas that Jackson could end up performing at the Hilton and living in the Red Rock Country Club. In fact, we reported this earlier in the year.

So now, Neverland is owned by both Jackson and Barrack's company. Will Jackson perform at Barrack's hotel? Stay tuned.

Now, I had to edit some things and I did not post the whole story, but why they act like the care what MJ does? Just saying. So basically, it is possible that MJ still kinda owns the estate.

I have to say that it REALLY PISSES ME OFF!!!:ranting I cannot believe that Neverland is renamed Sycamore. They renamed the ranch Sycamore? Now because of this, my wish, my dream to visit Neverland Ranch is now dead and if it wasn't for the LADP and the accuser, not only that they failed toruined Michael's life, but they successfully destroyed Neverland and my wish to visit the best place on god's great Earth.:tickingtimebomb

For the record and my final note to this news, I AM DEEPLY PISSED & OUTRAGED!!!:tickingtimebomb

 For so long now, I have been trying to teach you all how to interpret news about Michael Jackson. You first have to realize Michael is a very, very clever man. He is not going to do something at this point in his career that will allow him to loose money (intentionally) or give him a bad name. I think this move is the last thing in completing the transformation of the image of the man we are all waiting to see again. Most of you have already noted that Neverland put a bad image in the profile of Michael Jackson and we all know the Mike said he would never sell it. It has also been noted that Sycamore Ranch was the name of the ranch before Mike bought it. We have see posted here, all the legal mumbo jumbo that shows technically what this transaction would consist of. Thus, we now know that it is possible that Michael simply, in essence, just changed the name of the ranch back to the original Sycamore ranch. No money has crossed hands. Michael has simply transferred the ranch from one of his many companies to another and in doing so, just changed the name so it will fit the new adult image he is about to unleash on the world. :wild: If you look at it this way, the fans can relax cause nothing has physically changed. Yeah, maybe the ferris wheel will go away along with the other big toys of Neverland MAY disappear or maybe change in some way, but who knows?, he may leave it as an amusement park and still enjoy it on occaision along with the kids as a day trip or something. Mike just had to get the bad image of Neverland off of him and I think this was just the best way of having his cake and eating it too!

The JACKSONOLOGIST

Neverland Ranch Sold!

In what could be the end of a very strange era in Santa Barbara… The Blog has learned that the deeds for the Neverland Ranch have been transferred from Michael Jackson to Sycamore Valley Ranch Company LLC.

The news can be verified at the public Santa Barbara records website.

UPDATE: Michael Jackson

Did the Michael Jackson finally sell Neverland Ranch?

Well children, according to gossip gangsta Perez Hilton, he did.

Santa Barbara County Assessor records do indeed show that on the 10th of November Mister Jackston's 2,700 acre ranch on Figueroa Mountain Road in Los Olivos, CA transferred from The Gloved One to a Delaware based entity named the Sycamore Valley Ranch LLC. However, at this point it's unclear to Your Mama if this transfer represents an actual sale or if it indicates Mister Jackson has moved ownership over to a company controlled by his own people in an effort to limit his personal liability for the $20,000,000+ mortgage he's carrying on the property.

However, while the Sycamore Valley Ranch LLC was set up back in Delaware, records show an address in Los Angeles that happens to be identical to that of the offices of Colony Capital, the company who is reported to be holding the gigantic mortgage on Neverland Ranch. Now isn't that interesting?

Nothing would surprise Your Mama when it comes to Michael Jackson, but we do sincerely hope Mister Jackson has finally unloaded this financial white elephant and emotional albatross from around his skinny little neck.

As far as we know and according to gossip Roger Friedman at Fox 411, Mister Jackson is still living in Las Vegas with those three children of his.

More to come.

Re: ALERT ALERT MJ News

It's nice to know Michael has moved on and it's obvious he's happy now.

I agree totally!!! Michael has certainly looked happy. And the fact that he hasn't lived there in so long and all the bad memories... I am frankly happy and proud that he is moving on. I can ONLY hope that "Neverland" will be opened to tyhe public as an amusement park and museum to Michael Jackson like Graceland is to Elvis. But that is of coarse up to the new ownership. They would be wise to do something like this though, I would think.

I'm kind of saddened by the news but I feel its a new beginning
and will be a good thing for Michael in the long run. He has
bigger fish to fry and plans for his future with his children. :)
But he can and will create more beauty - wherever he decides to
live and I know he will.

we dont know what the plans are for this property
he may have just tranfered it to another one of his holdings
whatever he did was BEST for him and his children IM sure.

Neverland is REALLY a state of mind that will always live on in his and our hearts

I am sad because this represented a happy time for MJ...until it got raided. I am sad because some evil people had their way with not only HIM but HIS PROPERTY. It isn't the same even if he moved back in...probably too painful for him...It's time he moved on..
