2000 Watts...meaning??

^^^ hahahah so true, I agree!!!MJ is a man.He most likely thinks/ talks about sex in some of his songs.so what!!!

i say ANYTHING can be interpreted into s*xual things. but that DOES NOT mean they really are. RIGHT?
im so sorry but those who think so much of something, their minds revolves around it alll the time. no offense.

so are you also stating that Catherine's mind only revolves around sex, as well as everyone else on this board that believe this song is sexual?

I wonder what's wrong about thinking that way anyway...unless there's some celibate virgins, lol. I'm a horny one so I can't agree with her, lol.

a grown up man DOES not play video games! i knoe men older than :heart:Michael who adores video games! that ain't no reason.

and being grown up doesn't mean being so much into making love! these days tennagers and kids r more into that than grown ups.

i had enough and it seriously getting on my nerve.
i can never see ur point .

It's not about video games :bugeyed

Yeh, I'm part of the horny group too.

BTW I think Superfly Sisters Lyrics make sense, for the most part. A song that doesn't make sense is Morphine, now that song is fucked up.

Overally sexual compared to the many sexual type songs that are played on the radio these days? That song is tame.

Look, I think that 2000 Watts means s-e-x. I have listened to the song and the lyrics very carefully and it is basically about Michael doing the do. I always thought that the song was about MJ in the club and he sees this girl that he was feeling and he wanted to get his groove on with her. That is how I interpert the song. It was a very clever way of almost covering the song and talk about electricity, watts, volts, etc. so that people would not figure out what he is really talking about. I like songs like that because it lets the listener figure out what the song means to them.

To be honest, people do all sorts or weird things when they are making love. I am not gonna post them because I am not that kind of person to go into that. It is very possible that MJ is talking about being in a place that requires a person to wear 3D glasses. The bass note, Dolby, etc. can be related to the music that is being played in the place or club. MJ might be referring to those things as what a person hears when they are in the club. It doesn't really have to do with sex.

That part is basically self explanatory. MJ is clearly talking about s-e-x. I doubt that anyone would reach their peak in a video game, unless there are games that allow a player to reach their peak. I do not play video games so I wouldn't really know. D-Low could stand for down low (not like that people) or down below. And I am going to leave it at that.

Exactly and that is why I believe that 2000 Watts is clearly about MJ getting his groove on. I think it is called being implicit with the words or something else, I just had it then I lost it. LOL. - The word was subiminal (sp).

There is a HUGE reason I do not listen to the radio anymore, and that's because so many songs are about sex. It isn't something to be taken lightly or casually or put on display; it is something to be cherished, privately.

When I hear 2000 Watts, and look at the lyrics and listen to the sing, something I picture is a bunch of speakers, microphones, wires, electronics, recording studios, sound boards, high goals to make, etc. "Just enough to make your juices flow" implies to me, the imagination and inspiration, especially since it follows musical terms. "Press play, don't stop, rotate, too hot", I see someone working the soundboard. They're making some awesome music. "Release two or three, when I reach I can go till I hit my peak" sounds to me like putting out some singles or albums, and just going and going and going making more music, always aspiring to create, until nothing is left at all. He reaches for things to happen, you know, like goals. He doesn't stop. But this is an interpretation I have yet to see on this thread. it was really the first thing that came to my mind, and it still tends to stick that way. What do you all think?

Fuses are blowing, whether literal or figurative. Either way, there's lots of power happening. Lots of music being made. I can kinda see why this song seems a little disconnected with itself, because in a creative power rush there is so much going on in the mind at once that it is sometimes hard to discern and group things and put things in complete thought. There's so much going on in my own mind right now that it's taking me forever just to write this thing, lol.

Oooh shame on you all....don't you know that Michael just likes to play video games...he would NEVER have "imagination working" and rock with anyone...'til the break of dawn...'til he reaches his peak...'til he can't get enough....:innocent: :innocent: :innocent:

:hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

I can see *some* video game terminology, such as putting on 3D glasses, going to the next level, etc. but I don't think the song itself is about video games. The song has so many different types of terminology that it's hard to really discern much at all. Maybe it's about one thing; maybe it's about a lot of things. I know what I'm able to picture in my head. I know what a lot of you picture in your heads. I guess Michael wanted an imaginative song, maybe the whole purpose was to get us speculating. It certainly is that...even though it seems it's all messed up, it is yet another display of Michael's unique, multi-faceted, and layered creativity. :)

I think something this song is able to do, is bring out people's different personality types. hahaha Mike reads this thread, he can tell certain things about each of us without even talking to us. lol it's so funny.

What? OK, I know this isn't a Michael composition... so how can anyone say it's video games?

What, did Tyrese come up with the song while playing Madden 2001 on Playstation?!

First of all, sorry for my ignorance, but who is Tyrese??? Like I said before I don't listen to the radio.

Second, Michael's name is attached to this piece as having had a part in writing it, along with Teddy Riley and JaRon Henson and this Tyrese Gibson dude. This was another collaboration piece, like most of the Invincible songs. But it's got Michael written all over it. Number one, IF by chance it's about video games, who else but Michael would have written a song about that kind of thing? Number two, if it's about all this music recording and electronics and stuff, like I said before, who else but Michael would have written a song about THAT? Number three, if it is about sex, what other modern artist would have done what this song does to use this kind of cover for it such as electronics, to make it sound so tame yet so powerful? I can't think of a single answer to any of these questions.

3D glasses and Dolby can mean that all of his senses get upgraded when he is making out with her - for God's sake people - it's SEX!!!

Turn your illusion on a bit! But not yourselves , please, there are kids here!

Tyrese is an RnB artist. He originally wrote the song, then the others came along and changed a whole load of stuff probably.

1. Its not about video games
2. If you request it, give me five minutes an i'll come up with at least ten people that talk about music recording in a music recording

A little bit of wiki on Tyrese: "His second album, 2000 Watts, shares the name of the organization he founded to help inner city children. [Gibson]...CO-WROTE the song "2000 Watts" for Michael Jackson's 2001 album Invincible with Teddy Riley and The King of Pop."

Hmmmm... who here still thinks it's about sex??? And who here still thinks that only Tyrese wrote it??? Umm, not me.

Thank you all for your input. I think I might be done now. :)

if ur reffering to me i never said an adult doesnt play video games. im saying the song aint about no damn games lol or no electronics. ever heard of metaphors or innuendos? thats what they are. i mean seriously how naive or stupid can 1 be to think he is talking about video games. read between the lines. just cuz he dont just go out and say it doesnt mean he doesnt mean it. michael jackson is a grown ass man, and can sing about sex if he wants and its not like its his first time. he has a clever way of doin it but in some songs u can clearly tell. gosh

Ok, I am not trying to be a complainer but I am offically sick and tired of fans still viewing Michael as this pure and innocent creature that doesn't not think about sex. Michael is a grown ass man, he is 50 years old, he had women in his life and he also had sex. Why can people say that he sang a song about sex and not be attacked? There are too many fans on these fan boards that put MJ in a pedastal and can't let MJ be MJ. There are plenty of fans on here who like to see MJ be solely a guy that sings songs about innocence, children and purity. This is the same dude that hold his crocth. This is the same dude that was naked in a music video. Why are fans still treating MJ like a child? This man had porn, the most smuttiest (not a word) kind that he collected and there are still people viewing him as a child. Please, just stop posting if you clearly do not like it if members of this forum disagree with your view. It is time for you to grow up. Singing songs about sex does not mean that you can't go to Disney World and have fun. MJ is the same guy who went to the Playboy mansion and is/was good friends with Hugh Hefner. He even talked about the time when he went to their hotel suites and commented on the servers, who were female, and their legs. I think that fans need to start doing some growing up of their own and start treating MJ like a grown up.

im so sorry but those who think so much of something, their minds revolves around it alll the time. no offense.

On the record, I do not think about sex all day. You make seem like it was a bad thing to do that. Sex is natural. It is part of life. Some people, like me, do not like to talk about sex and there are some people who do. However, this thread isn't about me or some people. This thread is about a song that MJ sang that is basically about sex. Get over it.

There is a HUGE reason I do not listen to the radio anymore, and that's because so many songs are about sex. It isn't something to be taken lightly or casually or put on display; it is something to be cherished, privately.

Yeah, but not every song. However, I see what you are saying and I agree with you regarding sex. However, I do not see how you consider ITC a overly sexual song compared to many songs out there that clearly talks about certain types of sex.

But this is an interpretation I have yet to see on this thread. it was really the first thing that came to my mind, and it still tends to stick that way. What do you all think?

I see what you are saying and that is why I like the song because it gives the listener the chance to figure out what it is. I would agree with what you are saying but when a statement like "juices flow" is out there, to many people, including me, it relates to sex.
"Juices flow" can also mean creative juices. However, when MJ sings, "shorty is always there for me" or something like that, it changes the whole meaning. It throws you off.

MichaelsGuardianAngel@ not attacking you, but isn't a bit strange that EVERYONE here is wrong, and your right? =/ damn..

I know I'm too young, but whatever its a lil' annoying :p

hey MichaelsguardianAngel.. you can have your oppinion on the song, it doesn't matter.. no-one knows for sure yet.. as long as Michael has never spoken out.. But I think as much as Michael is a childlike innocent person, he is also a person who loves women.. and it will show in his lyrics.. but think about it.. when he sings about this subject, which a normal man thinks about very often, he manages to "cover it up" so it sounds like "recording".. or .. "dancing".. or other things.. isn't that a sign of great charactor actually?? Just think about Janet Jackson's songs.. there's not a lot left to the imagination there.. I prefer Michael's way of doing it..

Michael I love you.. just the way you are.. always and forever.... MJ .. 7 bright stars to you for 2000 watts..

Oh and how can the text be connected to helping children?
WHO said that?

and it ain't only me. michaelisinnocent and some people i know who r not a member here.

sorry, just because everyone else think sth is true, never conviences me. that never has been a reasonable reason to me.

and still u have not budge me yet. :heart:Michael only has that power!!!!

It's about sticking surround sound speaks in your mouth and experiencing 2000 Watts jolting through your body.

I think it's mostly about sex too.
But IMO a song is great if you can think more that one meaning for it. Like depending on your own mood. If you're dancing in a club you may want it to mean about a great sound system, energy. And if you're feeling horny you can find two minded meanings in everything. :D
Maybe 2000 watts is about this climate change, global warming, you know, save energy!!! Save the world. JK
