That is exactly what I love about this :D

But then, how would a typical MJ song sound like?
It's like MJ has a different character to all his songs, and changes his voice and the way pronounce (or don't pronounce) the words.

Every song as like an "act" where he makes sure his voice fits into the surroundings.
I don't think I've ever heard another singer with so many ways to change his voice and the way he sings.
 
Sometimes I like the song, sometimes I don't. Depends on the day. Lyrically, it's good. But the style just seems off for Michael. But somedays I love it.

Totally. Michael's got the most versatile voice I've ever heard. He can fit it to any genre or emotion he wants.

"Money" is one of my favorite songs off "History". It's really hard hitting, and people try to say Michael isn't really rapping, but he is, because the actual defintion for "rap" is rhyming to a rhythmic beat or melody. So whatever, he is rapping, and he does a damn good job too. And it's lyrically really strong too.
 
Its on my iPod along with Tabloid Junkie... Generally I'm not for those kind of songs, but they're just really well done. TJ is more for the backing vocals and such. Money is just a top song.
 
money has always been in my top 5. even was my favorite for a long time(but I change my fav. every week)..

I love his voice there and the rhythm is insane..
for those who says it's not really Mj style? if it's any's style it's got to be michael's!
The way he used his voice,talks in the verses is like dangerous! and then when he sings that "anything.anything..ehh" ell only he could do that,lol..I think it's really MJ style more than anything else..

love that bit... :)

brilliant layering and backing tracks throughout the song. The breathing just before the chorus adds great character to the song, creates the feeling of dodgy, secret, backstabbing behaviour.... a little genius touch.
 
A great song...reminds me sometimes of the likes of Tabloid Junkie or even Jam sometimes. But Money is really a good piece...he should perform it this summer/winter! (for all those haters that put allegations against him).

Then the last bit of that it sounds like he says, "You thought".
Not really sure about that part tho but thats what it sounds like to me.

I also like when he names all these rich people. People with MONEY.
Took me a minute to understand all the names but I got it! Lol!

Money is one of the best songs Michael ever did IMO. It's in my top favorites. When I first heard it, I kept replaying it. That's how much I love it. The lyrics are genius. Love this part in particular

I actually think this is very typical MJ, AMAZING!
 
This has been one of my very favorite of his songs for a long time now. I just can't get enough of it. I love the vocals. That soft low, almost whisper/growl "you would do anything for money" - amazing.

Not to mention the lyrics are brilliant.

I love listening to this one with headphones on.
SUCH an underrated track.
 
i definitely think MJ could have rapped out a real song, like a real rapper would, i kno technically he is rapping on this song, but i dont consider that rapping lol, he definitely has the presence and swagger to do so, especially on the stage!
 
I think this song is brilliant. There's just something I really love about the whole style and the lyrics of the song. He really put in how he felt and it's definitely a song that everybody can relate to, if that makes sense. Many artists now talk about money in their songs but in a greedy/selfish way and how they WANT money. Nobody has the guts now to write and sing a song like this. Only Michael and that's why I love him and this song.
 
I have always liked this song. For one thing, he is telling like it is. And I also like that he is speaking or rapping, whatever you want to call it, in his real voice which is lower than he usually speaks when he is in public.
