I really , really , really , really want this to be true , but it sounds too good to be true to be honest . I mean , i still cant believe were actually getting concerts , but an album aswell = i just cant see it happening....

yeah but still look at this - we didn't believe the concerts would happen, we didn't believe the curls would get back, so to make a full circle , a new song would be perfect.
 
If we're being realistic (and I hope for a new single/album more than anyone), Mike is really working flat out to get the concerts done. For him to promote a new single, create a video etc would be too time consuming imo.

The thing is though, a tour is how you promote a new album, so a bit like No Doubt he is doing it the wrong way around :p

Michael is coming back full power all over the place, out of nowhere to take the control of the music world by storm and completely dominate bigger and badder than ever!!!!

Of course there's going to be a new single coming out! I don't know about the June 20th date but it would certainly make sense to release the new record to radio, etc. before the concerts start. Randy Phillips said there would be music performed at the concerts so if he's to be taken seriously then you would have to suspect that MJ wouldn't debut a new song on a concert stage alone.
 
June 20th would be good, get a new hot song and get it in everyones heads and then open or close the show with it
 
Maybe Michael is shooting the new video at the doctor's office, that's why he visits his dermatologist so often :D
 
Or maybe its a studio, disguised as a doctors office!
 
Historically Michael has released a new single in the summer and released an album in the fall. But times have changed. Who knows.
 
Ok I don't want to rain on anything but i do want you to be real here.

I don't want to see anyone blaming Michael for this if the rumor proves false. I'm just trying to have some perspective here. It would be fan-f**King-tastic if this happens but please don't take it out on Michael if it doesn't.
 
Essentially we already had a new single with Hold My Hand but it was leaked. I don't see any reason why MJ can't perform it at the concerts. Especially if Akon is going to be there. I also think it would be wise for MJ to put that track on iTunes and see how it does. It doesn't have to be some sort of official single if you put it on iTunes. The Black Eyed Peas are doing that right now with a few of their new songs.

i hope the "new" song is not actually hold my hand, as that is not a very good song.

because imo its a crappy song that we wasn't supposed to get. ALSO it could have been AKON's song NOT Michaels. You know he does Background vocals for SOME people. But i didnt see it as a very good song to begain with. so im glad its not the first single.
