The watch is by fashion designer Zandra Rhodes.
There was an article about it on TimeOut London a few months ago.
I don't think the watch is disrespectful or an insult. It is and will always be an iconic MJ picture whether we like it or now. It's gotta be the most famous mugshot in the world right....! I'm sure he knew how big that mugshot would turn out to be and I'm also sure that he did that spooky face on purpose. (Spooky and weird are good!)
Since the mugshot is on a watch try to look at it as if Zandra is saying "Michael is a victim of his time".

This may be a very strange theory, but if they wear it ( the mugshot) it may be a signal of : look, we know everything everyone has been saying, but the man is innocent- and we support him. Not just "young" Michael, and the Michael from the Thriller era, but at his toughest moment. In a way, its more significant then wearing any pic from the Thriller era.
Don`t know if thats the right interpretation, but in a way- its more significant to say that " yes, we acknowledge whats happened by wearing this, and he is still my hero"?

"Michael is a victim of his time" ..thats a great quote and so true. On the other hand, he definitely didn't pull any face for the mugshot..that was definitely a reflection of his emotions at the time, given the circumstances (horrendous) .

^^ yes. It could equally be positive as it is negative. I think i depends on who's wearing it and their intentions lol

^^^^ I agree with you entirely, the bad part of it is that it keeps people wondering why are they doing it, and it could very easily be misintepreted if it's positive; hell if it's being hard to figure out for us fans imagine what regular people or haters might think.

Yes, we could look at it that way. I remember during the trial, the fans made mugshots of themselves and gave themselves mumbers, just like MJs's, I thought this was really symbolic. Maybe this is taking the support even further. I so wish the memory would go away. I knew Michael would be removed from that lawsuit. He had absolutely no authority in that hospital. Even if he did ask a doctor to move someone for him to get in a room, the doctor would be held responsible if he abliged him. Not Michael because Michael should have no say so in such things.
And I am wondering when the next single from T25 will be released in the US? Cause even though the 20th spot looks good, I think the album will continue to go down in the charts if they don't hurry up and release that next single. Or at least do some type of promotion.

Well, I see it like this: even if people want to forget and put it away- most times its just letting it be aknowledged for what it was will be better. Not the only focus, but as mutch a part of the whole story as everything else.
Its like with everyone else who has experienced something horrible, by letting it be what it is, its easier to get over it. If it gets "sweeped under the carpet", its still there, and it kind of "grows".
If the positive interpretation of it is right, its even more value to wearing the picture then almost anything- because if people embrace it as Michael being the victime of our time- that is embracing and recognicing what it was all about.
Its like with things that are taboo; trolls cracks if exosed to the daylight....
I am going to stick to the positive interpretation unless proven wrong
Because it actually makes more sense, I think.

I completely agree. The lawsuit, as it stands now is how it should have started off. I wish that family well and may their mother's soul rest in peace. It's unfortunate what happened, but fighting it out with the hospital/staff is how it should be.

About the watch and badge, I don't know. It's a strange choice of picture. Michael is the most photographed person in the world and if they wanted to show that they support him now, they could use any of the hundreds of pictures which have been taken of him in the last 1 to 2 years. It's a sad picture and I doubt Michael want's to see it all over the place. But whatever, that's just my take.
