With all the media outlets available to the world right now, Michael has taken step 1. He has a website.. he has a myspace, facebook, youtube channel and all of the online things.

I am wondering whether you think he will, or if you would like/dislike Michael to utilise these facilities to communicate directly to the world...

Michael could Blog (both on website and myspace)... he could make short youtube videos instead of typed up press releases released by Raymone... things like this...

With the Thriller 25 stuff currently happening and a new album in the works, i think it would be cool to be able to have updates from the man himself.

I know he wants to SHOCK the world, so he wouldnt wanna tell us anything in detail, but it would be nice to hear SOMETHING from him every now and then.

What do you guys think?

Communicate to us .. or.. Maintain his image as "mysterious"?

A msg to the fans would be a great idea.

All I'd ask for is an update on what his plans are for 2008, that's all.

Would be a fantastic opportunity for him to say whatever he wants to everyone...

If he ever starts to feel like being more open again, that is.

But maybe he'd rather focus his time on his music. Who knows...

It would be good promo, but if he talks/blogs on a website he doesn't earn anything. Doing an interview or whatever, he would.

I would love it if MJ chose to communicate with us via these mediums ......

Nah, I don't mind if he doesn't get any more personal. He ded the video for that French award show and the letter to fans in the T25 booklet along with his other messages via Raymone. I'm happy with that.

I would love him to have a blog or maybe put out a video in which he talks to the fans and tells us what's going on. That would be great!

I just think it would be wonderful to take advantage of so many opportunities he has keep in touch with us. :)

I know how excited i would be if I could look forward to a monthly MJ blog on his official website or something!

first off he doesnt have a website. that is sonys website. the myspace, facebook etc are all sonys pages not michaels. i would like him to launch a new official website and personally communicate with us every now and then through messages that would be posted on there. the website would feature ALL the latest news, updates and official statements. the person/people who would run the website would reply to fans questions etc. and they would be quick to confirm/deny any reasonable rumor that would surface (not RF's ones that we know they're ALL BS but other ones that would be all over the media).

and then we'd wake up

No, if he were to ever do that it wouldn't be just fans who would try to communicate with him but every obnoxious media outlet. Unfortunately Michael can't be like every other celebs and have a normal site and blog, too many tabloid queens would ruin it for everybody else.

I hate the fact that Michael's management thinks he has to be as reclusive as possible. It's stupid. I'm sure Michael would love to communicate with the fans more. But he's being advised to keep his "reclusive" image by making his public appearance as rare as possible. It works, no doubt. But could getting himself out there and going on talk shows, making YouTube videos, blogging/vlogging, chatting with fans, work even better for him? We don't know, because Michael's management have never let him try it. You never know if you don't go.

as much as I miss him, and as tempting as it would be to read a daily or even monthly MJ blog, lol I think he should remain a "mystery" thats part of his gimmick. It's part of what makes him him. He only gets "in trouble" when he's overexposed in the media. When he's MIA the world is pretty calm regarding Michael Jackson.

I do wish he had released more music over the years. He is such a rare talent and the world has barely gotten a taste of it. it seems a shame that he hides his talent under the bushel basket. I hope he shares his God-given music and dance with the world once again and maybe it will inspire some healing.

*Just want to add to what i said. If he ever DESIRES to connect with the public, he could. He's a very likable charismatic guy and if he wanted to, he could run the talk show gamut...Ellen, the View, GMA, Leno, appear on SNL. It would make him more relatable and people would then automatically empathize with him more and care about him personally. His obscurity is cool for his musical image, and it seems to be allotting him personal space which I'm sure he enjoys, but if he every wished to add the likability element, he could. He would just have to go be himself...not his brand.

all I want is update on the album. He doesn't need to communicate with us on a daily basis

yea not daily. i would think monthly would be more than enough. just to let us know "hay guys ive been in vegas and brasil and working hard on the new album ill give u more details soon"

something simple.

It would be cool if he would communicate with us fans usuing Youtube e.t.c imagin the MJ Video Blog  but i don't think it would happen but wishful thinking

Yeah that would be well appreciated. I would love to have a monthly or even bi-monthly message from Michael. Although that doesnt seem like his style to come on the internet and write these blogs lol He hasn't been communicating much with us recently. He's gotta do somethin in the US and soon because at this rate Thriller 25 wont make it past 500 000 sales this year. (sales have been drastically falling from 167 000 to 57 000 to a estimated 30 000) Ohh well...what can ya do right? All we can hope for is that when MJ releases his new album he will do more promotion for that.

I think that the problem with Michael having a personal blog or personal myspace is that you would undoubtedly get some people that would really want to spoil it for others. Plus I don't think that having regular updates gels with how Michael likes to work, he likes things to be secretive.

Such a great question I too wondered this myself, thanks for bringing it up damien:) it would be so nice to see video messages instead of type messages from Michael, I love to look at him when he communicates. He doesn't have to get personal with us, just give us some insight on what's going on with him now like Janet does on her Myspace page( maybe she can help mike get started) but if he wishes not to do any of the things and stay old fashioned with just sending out letters/statements, then what's the point of keeping them going? especially if they are not being put into use. I hope one day he takes the time out "update" without any assis. being involved relaying the message to us, I want it to be Mike himself giving us the info. cause he knows himself better then anyone else does.

that would be awesome if he ever had a blog but i don't think it'll ever happen lol

But it would be a good thing though. THat way the media could back off about what he does in his personal life, and MJ can pick and chose what he wants and what he doesn't wanna say.

Nope, I wouldn't want him to communicate more, especially on social network sites or even worse: talk shows or video blogs. To me that's just cheap and pointless marketing for artists who are either desperate for attention, or don't have much to offer. Michael's been overexposed his whole life, so at this point I just think he should remain as private and silent as he chooses to. The odd half a statement a year is plenty enough for me. I'm happy with him communicating the old fashioned way, i.e. solely through his PR people, that's what they're there for.

I agree 100% with what TwinkleDust said here:

Don't worry kids, MJ will let us know what he's up to in due time

I would LOVE it if he done that...however, i equally LOVE the "mystery" thing that he has going on...you just don't know what's gonna happen and when but what you do know is that something WILL happen.

I love that.

I agree with everything you say.:)

Dear Ladies & Gents,
What makes you think that Michael has not or is not communicating with his fans/admirers in the past, present or will in the future...?

Smiles~~~

I'd love to hear a lot more from him, I'm not asking for daily, or even monthly updates, just every now and then.
He knows how much his fans love him and how important he is to us, so I think it would be nice to give them an opportunity to have more contact with him.

Even though the idea is nice, I don't think he would. If Michael wants to communicate with fans , he will privately. He's called fans on the phone, he has sent letters to some. Apart from that, we've been getting messages and statements through various people from his team in the past. I don't understand why you would ask for more?

I don't think Michael is one for mass-communication (apart from his music).

Michael has has taken online questions from fans in and answered questions etc.. So ya he would.. He did

I hate the fact that Michael's management thinks he has to be as reclusive as possible.

Where the hell did you get that from? LOL! What nonsense.

Michael Jackson is doing what he has always done. I like it that way. Don't want it any other way. I would absolutely hate if he was doing a continuous online blog. Once in a blue moon is fine with me. I like my artists to be a mystery. Not on every damn channel.

Less is more for me.
