If you could get MJ to cover ANY SONG

The Greatest Love Of All by Whitney Houston. Would've been great if Michael covered it..

Whitney's version is a cover. It was originally performed by George Benson for the late 1970s movie "The Greatest".

Starship ~ Michael Henderson
Forever Mine ~ The O'Jays
Deep River Woman ~ Lionel Richie & Alabama
Cry ~ Godley & Creme
Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow ~ Sammy Davis Jr.
Drive ~ The Cars
I Love A Rainy Night ~ Eddie Rabbitt
We're Going Out Tonight ~ Cameo

Somewhere over the Rainbow he would have been amazing that. I love MJ's rock songs so would have loved to hear him cover some Queen. Somebody to Love with a choir in the background would have RAWKED! Or We Will Rock You. I know everyone covers it but MJ would have been amazing doing it. Just popped onto ITunes just now and Snow Patrol's album came up and it got me thinking that him covering Run would have been amazing.

First of all ... I LOVE this topic. All the songs listed so far are amazing choices. I think it's cool how all us MJ fans are on the same page regarding which artists' songs would, you know, match Michael's style or would sound amazing with his voice.

Some of mine ...

"I Don't Care Anymore" - Phil Collins
"Another Day in Paradise" - Phil Collins
"Give Me the Night" - George Benson
"Fireflies" - Owl City
"Do I Do" - Stevie Wonder
"What a Wonderful World"
"Everyday People" - Sly & the Family Stone
"Sing" - from Sesame Street
"Fantasy" - Earth, Wind & Fire
"Rhythm Nation" - Janet
"The Long and Winding Road" - The Beatles
"Let it Be" - The Beatles

Also, I think he could've killed any song of Ne-Yo's. Especially those from his "Year of the Gentleman" album. I mean, when I first listened to that disc, the first thing that came into my head was "This should be MJ's album!" :)

Dream on-Aerosmith
What The World Needs Now Is Love- Burt Bacharach
How Can You Mend A Broken Heart- Bee Gees

Everybody Hurts - R.E.M.

When the day is long and the night, the night is yours alone,
When you're sure you've had enough of this life, well hang on
Don't let yourself go, 'cause everybody cries and everybody hurts sometimes

Sometimes everything is wrong. Now it's time to sing along
When your day is night alone, (hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go, (hold on)
When you think you've had too much of this life, well hang on

'Cause everybody hurts. Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts. Don't throw your hand. Oh, no. Don't throw your hand
If you feel like you're alone, no, no, no, you are not alone

If you're on your own in this life, the days and nights are long,
When you think you've had too much of this life to hang on

Well, everybody hurts sometimes,
Everybody cries. And everybody hurts sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes. So, hold on, hold on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts. You are not alone

Elton John - Can You Feel The Love Tonight
Cat Stevens - Wild World
You Raise Me Up

One of my many fantasies is MJ doing the Lion King score...

Honeybee ~ New Birth
After The Dance ~ Marvin Gaye
Some Like It Hot ~ Power Station
Get On The Good Foot ~ James Brown

Insatiable by Darren Hayes.
I'd die to hear Michael's version of that song  I absolutely love Darren's voice in it, but I'm sure Michael's voice would be just perfect.
