Madonna really set the standard for what a female entertainer is and could be. She raised the bar so high for performance art. She basically set the stage for all other female entertainers to follow.

Thanks for posting. Those are great photos of the event. I would have loved to have gone to the Macy's thing but I just can't stand in those crowds for hours and hours. I hate Macy's, that store is huge. I will regret this decision some day because that's exactly the reason I didn't go to MJ's CD signing in Times Square (sigh).

I'm sure it's all in fun, but was wondering what your point is? And no, there really aren't all that many Madonna topics. While I admit lumping them all together like that makes it appear so, many of those topics are two years old and older. But then again, that's what this topic is for, lumping everything Madonna related in to one topic.

her daughter is beautiful...I just wish her dress was a little longer. This is coming from a mom of a almost 17 year old daughter....the way these girls TRY and dress these days...notice I said TRY...I hope the line of clothing has dresses longer than that.

Yes and no. I think it depends on what mood she's in. I've never personally taken it as though she's trying to have an accent, but she speaks rather properly. Really enunciates her words. In other words, proper English.

Oh thanks for posting her Carson interview. I have not seen that since the day it aired. I remember this was kind of a big deal (well, for me) because she had not done a talk show before. She was so respectful to Johnny (in contrast to her later Letterman appearances, lol).

Madonna and David like each other. It's mostly a game between the two, but she did used to be a little bitter about her controversial appearance. As said before, she says David put her up to it and then through her under the bus.

Oh, I wasn't saying there was anything wrong with her and David's schtick. I loved it. It made for great television. I just noticed she seemed to look up to Carson more and had more respect for him. Madonna seemed tamed with him, hehe. Maybe she saw Carson as more of a father figure type. Or maybe I'm overanalyzing.

I think you're right. She was respectful and humbled by someone who had a bigger star than her own (at the time).

Her clothing line promises to be good. I can't say I'm much of a fan of her music (I like some of her songs but most of them I could take or leave) but I admire her fashion sense. Her daughter Lourdes seems to have inherited that as well. Can't wait!

Madonna's New Boyfriend

Madonna has found herself a new toy boy after splitting from her former flame, Jesus Luz -- and he's a choreographer 19 years her junior.
The Queen of Pop was out Thursday night at Meatpacking hot spot SL with her handsome "Sticky & Sweet" tour choreographer, Brahim Rachiki.
"They came in together and were holding hands in a private area," a spy told us. "Madonna got up and was dancing for an hour straight before going back to her man. They immediately started making out in front of other guests."
The superstar was seen sneaking kisses and laughing with Rachiki, who also choreographed for Michael Jackson and collaborated on his concert and movie, "This Is It!"
Rachiki and Madge stayed late into the night and even chatted with DJ Tiesto, who arrived shortly after they did. A rep for the club couldn't be reached.
The duo moved on from SL to the Sullivan Room in Greenwich Village at 1 a.m. for a Libation Party, where they showed off their dance moves before indulging in more public kissing.
A spy said, "After working the dance floor, they found more private seating where they hugged and kissed for the rest of the night."
This comes on the heels of Madonna's turbulent relationship with Luz, who's been recently spotted flirting with a string of women in his native Brazil.
The Material Girl, 52, has been known to fancy younger men. Her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, is 41. Rachiki is 33 but has more years under his belt than Luz, who's all of 24.
She was reported to be looking to replace Luz with Guatemalan actor Oscar Isaac, star of "Che," and earlier this year showed an interest in "A Single Man" actor Jon Kortajarena, whom she met at his premiere.
Reps for both Madonna and Rachiki declined to comment.
